Winter Oilseed Rape: Agronomic Management in Different Tillage Systems and Seed Quality
نویسندگان
چکیده
A three-year study was conducted to analyze agronomic management in the production of winter oilseed rape (WOSR) under different tillage systems. field experiment at University’s Agricultural Experiment Station Bałcyny (north-eastern Poland), three growing seasons (2016/2017, 2017/2018, and 2018/2019). The had a 35–2 resolution III fractional factorial design with five fixed factors that were tested levels intensity. experimental were: A—tillage: (A0) strip-till, (A1) low-till, (A2) conventional tillage; B—weed control: (B0) pre-emergent, (B1) foliar, (B2) sequential; C—growth regulation: (C0) none, (C1) fall, (C2)—in fall spring; D—rate nitrogen (N) fertilizer applied spring: (D0) 160, (D1) 200, (D2) 240 kg ha−1; E—rate sulfur (S) (E0) 0, (E1) 40, (E2) 80 ha−1. crude fat (CF) content WOSR seeds highest strip-till system (498 g kg−1 dry matter, DM), total protein (TP) (196 DM) low-till neutral detergent fiber (NDF) higher harvested from systems than system. plants grown accumulated more (by 0.4%) polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) less 0.5–0.6%) monounsaturated (MUFAs). An increase N rate 160–200 ha−1 decreased CF (495 vs. 484 increased TP (191 199 DM). Sulfur fertilization induced 34% glucosinolate (GLS) concentrations seeds, mainly by enhancing biosynthesis alkenyl GLS 39%).

To study the effects of tillage system, planting method and of nitrogen fertilizer rate on the agronomic characteristics and seed yield of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) Dalgan oilseed rape cultivar, as the second crop after rice, a split factorial experiment in complete randomized block design with three replications was carried out in two cropping seasons (2016-2018) at paddy fields of Rice Res...

This article reports experiments that explore the critical factors for gene flow in oilseed rape (Brassica napus) via the soil seedbank under Chinese farming systems. Research was carried out on 16 farmer s fields to estimate harvest seed losses after different planting methods and harvest timings, during the four components of the harvest operations. An additional field experiment was set up t...
متن کاملEvaluation of growth and seed yield of new winter oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) genotypes under terminal drought stress conditions
Breeding and production of drought tolerant cultivars for arid and semi-arid area is very important. The present experiment was carried out to evaluate the effects of drought stress on seed yield and yield components of oilseed rape as well as identification of high yielding and drought stress tolerant genotypes. Eighteen new winter oilseed rape lines and commercial cultivars were evaluated und...
متن کاملSeed dressings to control slug damage in oilseed rape.
Slugs are major pests of oilseed rape that are poorly controlled by conventional bait pellets. A series of laboratory experiments investigated the potential of seed-dressings to control slug damage in this crop. Four compounds: metaldehyde, methiocarb, cinnamamide and 3,5-dimethoxycinnamic acid (DMCA) were tested at a range of doses for phytotoxicity and ability to reduce damage by Deroceras re...
متن کاملChanges in Seed Weight in Response to Different Sources: Sink Ratio in Oilseed Rape
Little knowledge exists about the degree of source, sink and source: sink limitations on mean seed weight in oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.). The objective of this work was to analyze the nature and magnitude on seed weight response to assimilate availability during the effective seed-filling period in oilseed rape. Three Argentinean varieties, Eclipse, Impulse, and Master, were grown under fi...
